Air Transat History
Air Transat made it’s first flight on November 14th 1987, and was travelling between Montreal and Acapulco. Almost six years later, Air Transat was defunct Nationair’s maintenance aircraft and base. Today, Air Transat books over 3 million passengers onto there aircraft a year. Air Transat is owned by Transat A.T. Inc. Air Transat today is one of the largest airlines in Canada next to Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz and WestJet. Air Transat has over 2,100 employees working for them (as of 2010).
